The G700 and G900 are two new UIQ-powered phones labeled as touchscreen organizers with a broad appeal from Sony Ericsson. The G900 and G700 phones are essential tools designed to organise the lives of all those with busy schedules to juggle, both at home and at work.
Both phones have a similar calendar and organizer abilities, largely aided by the excellent touchscreen...Both can be manipulated by finger touch though they do have a stylus for precision. We aren't certain if they support multi-touch though..
The G700 has a large 2.4 inch display with a 3.2 megapixel camera and One-touch full organiser functions(you can write and draw your memo’s) with its compact size as an added bonus.
The G900 is pretty much similar to the G700 but it has a couple of additional features such as Wi-Fi for high speed data transfer and internet browsing and a 5.0 megapixel camera with touch Auto focus. Now this is what you're going to be interested in..
The Touch focus feature allows you to select the subject to be in focus when you are framing your shot. All you have to do is to tap the person/subject with your finger or stylus in the camera viewfinder....pretty neat feature!
The G700 will launch in Silk Bronze and the G900 will launch in Dark Red and Dark Brown. Both are UMTS 2100 and GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 phones that will be available from Q2 2008.
Gsm-Arena previewed these two handsets recently and they were mighty impressed...
