Leave the P5 Alone!

Its the same story everywhere. A lot of people are writing off the P5, even before its been launched. For god's sake, all pictures that we've seen are from a product video.

And as far as comments such as SE being one generation behind its competitors, people should understand SE surely have more resources at their disposal than average users like us and they surely must have done a market review to analyze the demand for high-end features. No matter what we we as customers expect in a handset, we must consider that we power users are only a small niche in the phone market. Majority users want just a basic phone which is appealing to the eye and has basic features such as a music player, radio etc. Thats not to say that SE should neglect the demands of users like us, but as they say, better late than never!

And of course, the obvious comparisons to the N95. Since this has been the issue of discussion lately, I'd like to present my views regarding the same.

Agreed, Nokia may have offered superior specs like Wi-Fi, GPS etc a lot earlier, but the P5 definetly looks better than the N95.

However, am not basing my argument on looks alone. My counterparts fail to highlight ( on purpose presumably :) ) the major advantage the P5 has over the N95.

The P5 delivers the killer blow in the form of the large touchscreen, which, coupled with the new UIQ 3.3 will definetely make using the phone a lot more enjoyable.

A touchscreen greatly enhances the usability of a device as there is a lot more scope for interaction and makes the overall experience a lot more pleasurable.
