Sony Ericsson isn't giving up on the X2 just yet and as promised, has rolled out an update. However it isn't the one that was promised, rather a small pre-update before the actual one rolls out. The update for this Windows Mobile powered device provides some stability and improved performance. In addition, the .cab file offers some updates to many applications found on the X2 as well as adds some other behind the scenes features like a new and improved four-tab dialer.
It's expected that the full MR1 software upgrade for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 will land some time next month – for now, you can download the application update through the regular Sony Ericsson Update site at www.sonyericsson.com/update.
