Sony Ericsson G705 announced!
Yeah....its been quite some time I've posted anything on my blog. Lets just say I was pretty tired of my routine and took a break. Anyhoo....am back and I promise I'll be posting regularly from now on and keep all you SE fans updated!
Sony Ericsson today announced the G705 - as expected - and also a special Orange-branded variant of it, called G705u, which is Sony Ericsson's first phone to support UMA, which gives you the ability to make calls via the regular cellular networks as well as LAN networks. Pretty cool eh?
It features a 2.4 inch display (QVGA resolution), HSDPA/HSUPA (HSUPA for the American model), WLAN with support for DLNA, GPS with support for aGPS, FM radio with RDS, NetFront browser, A2 platform, 3.2 mega pixel fixed focus camera. A 1 GB memory card comes bundled. The G705 will be available in Silky Gold and Majestic Black variants in early Q4.The American model supporting the faster HSUPA networks will be available in Q1.

pretty bad its not UIQ :( otherwise it would have been perfect!
still calls via LAN...now that's cool! :D
Since the announcement of the Symbian foundation, the future of UIQ has become uncertain.
I had hoped to see a few uiq 3.3 handsets though....any news on that?
