Sony Ericsson announces Bluetooth speaker
Today Sony Ericsson added yet another Bluetooth speaker to its accessory portfolio - the MS-500. Unlike its siblings, though, this one is very light, it’s so small that it can “fit in the palm of your hand” and is designed so that you can enjoy your music outside without worrying that something could happen to it.
It’s got a splash proof shell and a handy strap, which you can use to safely attach the speaker to a bag, your wrist or… something else.
Furthermore, the speaker can’t be recharged. It is powered by two AA batteries, which you can swap anywhere in case you’re out of juice. Speaking of which, the speaker can stream music up to five hours. What’s interesting is that the speaker has a DSP chip which is used to enhance the audio output - sweet!
It’s also got Bluetooth v2.1 , supporting the A2DP and AVRCP profiles, which means that it can be used with most current Sony Ericsson phones plus those from other brands.
The MS-500 will be released in 2 colours - black with orange (apparently, the stripe on the side) and white with pink.
