SE CEO looks to achieve break-even in 2010

In an interview with the Swedish website Dagens Industri, Sony Ericsson’s new CEO Bert Nordberg explains that he’s looking to achieve profit already next year. He wants the company to produce more high-end phones with lots of excellent specifications and he wants fewer similar phones and a higher production of the ones in the portfolio. Better and more expensive phones are the way to go forward – not by selling 25 dollar phones in India, as he put it in the statement to DI. In addition to this he wants to cut down on the number of managers in the company to achieve a flatter structure and make it easier to make changes.
