Sony Ericsson Naite launched

Stay on top of life with the Sony Ericsson Naite™ phone. A classic phone designed to help you stay in touch, stay organised - and do a bit for the environment. Its timeless look includes a large 2.2" LCD display so you can easily see your calendar and contacts. It’s got a decent camera, Google™ maps, a phone calendar and great green credentials, too.

Sony Ericsson claims that the Naite has a 15 percent reduced carbon footprint in comparison to a standard mobile, but aims to provide green credentials without the sacrifice of functionality.

The list of eco-highlights include the Naite's largely recycled construction, low-power charger, reduced packaging and inclusion of an on-device, rather than paper, manual. There's nothing as luxurious as Wi-Fi or GPS on board but the Naite does come with 3G connectivity as well as full music and video playback.
