You don't normally see me deviating from the usual while I write my posts, I thought I'll make an exception this time. It's been a long time since I've written anything on UIQ, my last major post being ' UIQ - what went wrong?' after which I just havn't been able to come to terms with the fact that there won't be another UIQ handset.
But Kudos to Zed@Cellphonesoft who's still extremely committed to the UIQ platform and believes that existing UIQ3 users needn't be abandoned.
Cellphonesoft recently released Swiss Manager Elite 2.00, paying tribute to the elite group of users who continue to use what is arguably the most advanced mobile GUI on the planet. Today they released an update, coming out with version 2.10.
For those not in the know, Swiss Manager is a composite system utility, providing task management, file navigation, and system information services, all in one application. Swiss Manager Elite is the successor of the famous Swiss Manager Pro, the award-winning software by CellPhoneSoft, which has been considered as an essential addition to all UIQ3 devices.
The Elite version implements major new functionality, while preserving the proven appearance and base feature set.

Swiss Manager Elite can be installed on all UIQ3 phones manufactured by Sony Ericsson, while it is incompatible with Motorola UIQ3 phones (Z8, Z10). Swiss Manager Elite 2.00 is a major upgrade of its product line. Serial numbers for the Pro version can not be used to register Elite.
A fully functional 15 day trial can be downloaded from the Cellphonesoft website after which the app needs to be registered in order to be used.
Long Live UIQ!
